Schemer is a database schema visualization tool that runs entirely on your machine or CI/CD pipeline. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Data we collect

The Schemer CLI tool does not collect or transmit any data. It connects directly to your database, extracts schema metadata locally, and generates static HTML files on your machine. No information is sent to us or any third party.

This website (dbschemer.dev) uses GoatCounter for privacy-friendly analytics. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and collects only basic page view statistics (page URL, referrer, browser, screen size, country).

Your database data

Schemer only reads database schema metadata (table names, column names, types, relationships, comments). It does not read, access, or process any actual data stored in your tables. The tool runs locally and all generated documentation stays on your infrastructure.
